Asphalt Pavement Thickness Design SW-1

DAMA CP-1, HWLOAD CP-2, AIRPORT CP-3, HWY CP-4 based Pavement Design Software for Highways, Airports

The Asphalt Institute developed SW-1 to provide users the capability to design asphalt pavements for highways, streets, parking lots, airports, industrial facilities supporting heavy wheel loads, and other applications. SW-1 provides users an integrated pavement design suite to provide an unparalleled range of capability.

It provides an integrated pavement design suite for highways, streets, parking lots, airports, and industrial facilities supporting heavy wheel loads. It is designed to run on common Microsoft Windows ® operating systems including Windows XP. The new Windows-based user interface dramatically integrates previous AI thickness design programs into a single, easy to use program. It features improved data file handling and storage capability. An extensive context-sensitive HELP file addresses common pavement design questions.

BISAR

Bitumen Structures Analysis in Roads for Pavement Analysis and Design

BISAR (Bitumen Structures Analysis in Roads) is the Windows version of the linear elastic multi-layer program. It has all the calculation facilities of the previous mainframe computer version. But it now also has user friendly input panels and improved report lay-out to hopefully make life that much easier. If your job is designing roads then this tools could be of great use to you.

DRIP

Pavement Geometric Design Software to determine Drainage Requirements in Pavements

Moisture-related pavement distresses have long been recognized as a primary contributor to premature failures and accelerated pavement deterioration. To avoid this the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) conducted research and provides guidelines. These set of guidelines are implemented in to DRIP software. It is concise and user friendly computer program that replicates the subsurface drainage design procedures and incorporates both SI and pound-inch (U.S. Customary) units. It supports whole of the drainage design process including drainage design process into six sub-processes and developing a tabbed property page for each: Roadway Geometry, Sieve Analysis, Inflow (with the Meltwater sub-screen), Permeable Base design, Separator layer design, and Edgedrain design. It is packaged with DripPlot program, which creates plots of gradations, aggregate separator design, and sensitivity analysis for permeable bases.

Cube

Transportation Planning Software - Provides everything you need for analyzing today's transportation

Cube is a family of software products that form a complete travel forecasting system providing exceptional, easy to use, capabilities for the comprehensive planning of transportation systems. Cube is comprised of Cube Base and add-on libraries of planning functions. A user of Cube has Cube Base and one or more of the functional libraries dependant on their planning tasks. This structure allows the professional planner to add functions as required without the need to learn a new interface and without the need to create multiple planning databases.

Cube allows for the easy incorporation of other software including industry standard ArcGIS from ESRI and various Microsoft Office programs. The client’s own software may also be readily incorporated into the system.

EMME/2

Transport Planning on Multi-Model Networks Software

EMME/2 is a state-of-the-art system for planning the transportation of people on multimodal networks. It provides planners with a comprehensive and flexible set of tools for demand modelling, and network analysis and evaluation. It has been designed for modelling multimodal networks: all modes are integrated into a consistent network, and full interaction is provided between transit and car modes. It is currently used in 59 countries by over 700 organizations. Its users include cities, metropolitan areas, various levels of public administration, transit agencies, consulting firms and universities. It is being used for intra-city as well as national inter-city applications.

Mix Design Program SW-2

Superpave Mix Design, Superpave Trial Blending, Marshal Mix Design, and Marshal Trial Blending Softw

Asphalt Institute's Mix Design Program - Featuring Superpave Mix Design, Superpave Trial Blending, Marshall Mix Design, Marshall Trial Blending. Designed in conformance with MS-2 Mix Design Methods for Asphalt and SP-2 Superpave Mix Design. *Flexible for daily lab use *User-Friendly *Easy to customize to fit your local needs System requirements: Updated versions of Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP and Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher is required. Internet Explorer 6.0 is recommended.

Paramics

A modularized microsimulation platform. Model a single intersection or an entire city.

Paramics is a suite of microscopic simulation modules providing a powerful, integrated platform for modelling a complete range of real world traffic and transportation problems. Paramics modules work together to improve usability, integration, and productivity allowing users, and their clients, to get added value from the modelling process. Paramics is fully scaleable and designed to handle scenarios as wide-ranging as a single intersection, through to a congested freeway or the modelling of an entire city’s traffic system.

PETRAPro

A New Generation of Traffic Data Analysis Software

PETRAPro is the software for analyzing data gathered with the TDC-12 or DB-400 hand-held data collectors. This program processes data that includes standard Turning Movement, enhanced Turning Movement, Vehicle Classification, Multi-direction Gap, Stop Sign Delay, Signalized Intersection Delay, Spot Speed and Saturation Flow Rate. Comprehensive reports can be created in a matter of minutes, saving time and making your job easier.

Synchro Plus SimTraffic

Traffic Engineering Software

Trafficware’s software suite is a complete solution for optimizing and modeling urban traffic networks. The suite is comprised of Synchro, a signal timing and analysis program; and SimTraffic,an easy-to-use, microscopic simulation and animation package.

SimTraffic performs micro simulation and animation of vehicle traffic. With SimTraffic, Individual vehicles are modeled and displayed traversing a street network. SimTraffic models signalized and unsignalized intersections, and freeway sections with cars, trucks, pedestrians, and busses are be modeled. Unlike some of the competing models, animation is displayed while the simulation is performed. Input is very easy and productive, in most cases all that is needed is the same data used within Synchro.

Synchro is a software application for optimizing traffic signal timing and performing capacity analysis. The software optimizes splits, offsets, and cycle lengths for individual intersections, an arterial, or a complete network. Synchro performs capacity analysis using both the ICU and HCM methods. Synchro provides detailed time space diagrams that can show vehicle paths or bandwidths. Synchro can be used for creating data files for SimTraffic and other third party traffic software packages. The software supports the Universal Traffic Data Format (UTDF) for exchanging data with signal controller systems and other software packages.

VISSIM

Microscopic, Behavior based, Multi-purpose Traffic Simulation Software for traffic and transit movem

Vissim is a microscopic, behaviour-based multi-purpose traffic simulation program. Simulation has become an indispensable instrument for the optimization of complex technical systems. This is also true for transportation planning and traffic engineering, where simulation is an invaluable and cost-reducing tool. It offers a wide variety of urban and highway applications, integrating public and private transportation. Even complex traffic conditions are visualised in an unprecedented level of detail providing realistic traffic models.
